Terms of Service.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Foliopeak is owned by Rackel Ltd (“Foliopeak”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply whenever you create an account, sign in, or otherwise use Foliopeak - the website and the app. By using Foliopeak, you're agreeing to them.

Read this alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers what we collect and why. This page covers everything else - what the service is, how billing works, and what we each expect from one another.

What Foliopeak is

Foliopeak is a manual net worth and portfolio tracker. You type in your own account balances and holdings - Foliopeak never connects to your bank, broker, or pension provider, and never asks for banking credentials. Everything you see - totals, allocation, tax-year tracking, goal projections, the calculators - is built from figures you've entered yourself, plus publicly available market data and exchange rates for the assets you've told us you hold.

Not financial advice

Foliopeak is not a financial adviser, and nothing in the app - the dashboard, the calculators, the scenarios, the tax-year tracking, the goal projections, or anything else - is regulated financial advice or a personal recommendation. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

The calculators model outcomes based on the figures and assumptions you provide, or general HMRC rates and thresholds - they don't know your full financial situation, and they can be wrong if the inputs are wrong, out of date, or don't reflect a change in tax law. The scenarios go further and simulate possible futures or replay past decisions; figures they produce - including any sustainable-withdrawal or projected-outcome number - are illustrations of the assumptions you chose, not a recommendation about what to do with your money. Market and currency data is provided by third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Any decision you make based on Foliopeak is yours - for anything that matters, we'd encourage speaking to a qualified, FCA-regulated financial adviser or accountant first.

Figures cover the 2026/27 tax year and are reviewed after every Budget: what the last one changed.

Your account

You need to be at least 18 to create a Foliopeak account. You're responsible for keeping your login details and any device you're signed in on secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away at hello@foliopeak.com if you think someone else has access to it.

One account per person. If you use the household feature, invites are only meant for people you actually want to share a combined view with, like a partner.

Plans and billing

Foliopeak has three plans. Free covers full manual tracking, goals, milestones, the decision journal, UK tax-year tracking, and the calculators with reduced market-data history and ticker limits. Solo (£4.99/month or £49.99/year) is for one person: it lifts the account cap and the calculator limits, and adds the scenario tools, benchmark comparisons, PDF reports, the live-formula Excel workbook, daily Google Sheets auto-sync, personal API access, the adviser dashboard, and Cairn. Partner (£7.99/month or £79.99/year) includes everything in Solo, plus a household: you and one partner you invite, each with your own login, on one subscription. Current pricing is always shown on the Pricing page.

On Partner, your partner's access comes from your subscription. If it ends, or changes to Solo, their paid features stop too, unless they have paid access of their own. If they leave the household, their free place opens up for a new invite.

Solo comes with one 7-day free trial per account. Partner has no free trial and is billed from the day you subscribe. If you have subscribed before, on either plan, starting Solo again bills you straight away rather than granting a second trial - the upgrade buttons say so before you commit. Unless you cancel during the trial it converts automatically into a paid subscription, and subscriptions then renew automatically at the price shown until you cancel.

Payments are handled by Stripe: you enter your card details on Stripe's own checkout page, and Foliopeak does not store them. You can cancel at any time in Settings > Billing, with the Cancel membership button or through Manage billing, which opens Stripe's own billing portal. Cancelling during the trial means you are never charged. Cancelling later stops future billing: you keep your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, then move to Free.

Your right to cancel within 14 days. If you subscribe as a consumer in the UK, you can cancel within 14 days of signing up - the day you start a free trial counts as signing up - and get a refund. Because you ask for your plan to start straight away, if you cancel inside those 14 days after a payment has been taken, we refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the paid days you had. To cancel, use Settings > Billing, or send any clear statement that you want to cancel to hello@foliopeak.com. You don't need to give a reason or use a form. Cancelling in Settings > Billing, or on the billing page it links to, sends the refund automatically and ends the plan there and then; if you cancel by email instead, we send the refund ourselves.

Outside those 14 days we don't refund a billing period already paid for, unless the law requires it - for example if your plan wasn't as described. Cancelling at any time still stops every future payment.

Deleting your account. Asking to delete your account (Settings > Account) cancels a paid plan the same way the Cancel membership button does: it stops renewing straight away, so you are not charged again, and within 14 days of signing up you are refunded as above. The account is deleted seven days later unless you sign in and keep it, and the plan ends with it then. If you keep your account, your plan stays set not to renew until you turn it back on in Settings > Billing.

If a payment fails and can't be recovered, we may downgrade your account to Free - your data stays intact either way, you just lose access to paid features until billing is sorted out.

Your data

Everything you enter into Foliopeak - accounts, holdings, transactions, goals, journal entries - is yours. We store and process it so we can run the service and show it back to you; we don't claim ownership of it, and we don't sell it. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what's collected and who it's shared with.

In data protection terms, Rackel Ltd is the controller of your personal data - we decide what is collected and why, and we are accountable for it. The providers that help us run Foliopeak (our database, hosting, payment and email providers) act as our processors: they handle it on our instructions and for no purpose of their own, each under a written data processing agreement. Those agreements are linked in the Privacy Policy so you can read them rather than take our word for it.

Your database is hosted in the United Kingdom. Where a provider around it operates internationally, the transfer is covered by a safeguard UK law recognises - the detail, provider by provider, is in the Privacy Policy.

You can export everything you have entered at any time, on any plan, from Settings. That is deliberate: it means leaving Foliopeak never requires our cooperation.

Acceptable use

Please don't use Foliopeak to:

  • Try to gain unauthorised access to another account or to our systems
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell any part of the service
  • Upload anything unlawful, or use the service for an unlawful purpose
  • Disrupt or overload the service - for example, automated scripted sign-ups or excessive calculator use intended to abuse free-tier limits

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Our intellectual property

The Foliopeak name, logo, design, and underlying code belong to Rackel Ltd. Using the service doesn't give you any ownership over it - just a licence to use it under these terms, for your own personal (or household) financial tracking.

Service availability and changes

Foliopeak is being built in the open, one piece at a time - features can change, and we can't promise the service will always be available or error-free. We'll try to give notice of anything that materially changes what you get, particularly for paying subscribers.

Ending your account

You can stop using Foliopeak at any time, and delete your account and data yourself from Settings - or ask us to by emailing hello@foliopeak.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break the acceptable use terms above, or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent.

If you die: your trusted contact

You can name one trusted contact in Settings. By doing so you ask us to send them the note you leave, and anything else you choose there, either once we have received a death certificate we are satisfied with and given your email address 14 days' notice, or once you have not signed in for the period you chose, after warning you. Signing in during the notice or before the period ends stops it.

If you also turn on read-only access, you ask us to let that person see your account and download a copy of your data, through their own Foliopeak account, for 12 months from when it is sent, and then to delete your account - sooner if they ask. They can never sign in as you or change anything in your account.

If you let them see where your money is held without read-only access, you ask us to let them see that, read-only, through their own Foliopeak account, for 12 months from when it is sent, and then to delete your account.

Whatever you choose, you ask us to delete your account 12 months after we write to your trusted contact. If we wrote because you had not signed in, we will email your address 30 days before; removing your trusted contact before then keeps your account.

You can change or remove your trusted contact at any time. We act in good faith on the death certificate we are given, or on the period without a sign-in you chose, and send only to the email address you gave us.

Liability

Foliopeak is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the calculators or market data will always be precise or current. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for financial decisions made using Foliopeak, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Foliopeak changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
